Fran is a superb mathematician and tutor. I had the pleasure of working with her as a colleague when I was Deputy Head of Maths at RGS Guildford –she had excellent relationships with her students and was able to bring out the very best in them regardless of age or prior attainment – her skill in working with them one-to-one was notable and it is no surprise to me that she has excelled as a tutor.
Since becoming Head of Maths at Charterhouse, Fran has not only helped me in relation to school admissions work at 13+ and 16+ and I would certainly recommend her services for in helping young people in their preparations to join an academically competitive school for GCSEs or the Sixth Form.
In addition, she has been employed as a tutor by parents of some of our Sixth Form pupils and helped them achieve excellent results. For example, she worked with one pupil who at the A level Maths course was achieving scores equivalent to grade E. By working alongside us, she enabled him to gain a grade B in the end.
